Gabby is an experienced executive leader with more than 20 years in senior roles across health, social services, and community sectors in New Zealand and the UK. Her career spans chief executive positions in complex, high-profile organisations, where she has led strategic transformation, stakeholder engagement, and service delivery reform.
Gabby brings particular strengths in aligning strategic vision with operational delivery, fostering collaborative cultures, and guiding organisations through periods of change. Her leadership has consistently supported financial sustainability, improved service quality, and strengthened stakeholder relationships.
Gabby holds postgraduate qualifications in business administration, counselling, and clinical pharmacy.

Vanessa Smith

HG is pleased to announce the appointment of Vanessa Smith as Director of Nursing and Midwifery – Caboolture, Kilcoy & Woodford Directorate with Metro North Health.
Vanessa is an experienced nursing leader who brings extensive operational, strategic, and academic expertise from a global career spanning Australia, the UK, Middle East, and Europe. She has held senior roles across perioperative, prehospital, and critical care services, with demonstrated success in service redesign, education, and workforce development.
Most recently, Vanessa served as Chief Nurse Perioperative Practitioner with NHS Grampian in Scotland, where she also led the Regional Theatre Academy. In this role, she has overseen major workforce capability and culture uplift, contributed to large-scale infrastructure projects, and supported national education strategies in partnership with NHS Education Scotland.
Vanessa is a registered nurse with postgraduate qualifications in health service management, education, and research.

Thomas Pamminger

Hg is pleased to announce the appointment of Thomas Pamminger to the position of Chief Financial Officer for Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Services.
Thomas is a seasoned senior executive with extensive experience in finance, corporate governance, risk management, and operational leadership across both government and commercial sectors.
Throughout his career, Thomas has held CFO and senior leadership roles within complex organisations, where he has successfully overseen a wide range of corporate functions including financial management, audit and risk, infrastructure, human resources, procurement, and business improvement.
In his current role as Chief Financial Officer at the Parliament of South Australia, Thomas has led significant cost-saving initiatives and strengthened financial transparency—delivering improved fiscal accountability and operational efficiency across the organisation.
