HG is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Christine Foley as General Manager, Clinical and Care Governance with UnitingCare Queensland.
Dr Christine Foley is a highly regarded clinical governance executive with extensive experience leading safety, quality, risk, and patient experience functions across hospitals, aged care, community, family, and disability services. With a career spanning several decades in nursing and more than 20 years in executive clinical governance roles, she has built a strong reputation for driving enterprise-wide governance reform and embedding cultures of continuous improvement and evidence-based care.
Most recently, as Director of Clinical Governance at Mater Health, Christine led governance across a large multi-site health network, delivering an integrated clinical governance framework, introducing enterprise incident management and analytics systems, and achieving significant efficiencies through governance redesign. Previously, she served as Director of Clinical Governance with UnitingCare Queensland, where she led governance integration across diverse service streams and directed the organisation’s statewide COVID-19 clinical governance response.
Christine holds a PhD in Nursing, a Master of Health Management, and a Bachelor of Nursing, and is widely recognised for her expertise in governance, accreditation, quality improvement, and organisational transformation.

Professor Melanie Turner

HG is delighted to announce the appointment of Associate Professor Melanie Turner as Chief Psychiatrist with the Department for Health and Wellbeing.
Melanie is an accomplished psychiatrist and senior health leader with extensive experience across clinical practice, government, academia, and statutory boards. A Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists with subspecialty qualifications in child and adolescent psychiatry, she brings deep expertise in mental health policy, clinical governance, and system reform.
Melanie has served as Deputy Chief Psychiatrist of South Australia since 2020, including periods acting in the Chief Psychiatrist role, where she has led statewide policy, standards, and investigations, alongside suicide prevention initiatives and system oversight. She has played a pivotal role in drafting key legislation and standards, including restraint and seclusion and sexual safety frameworks, and established the South Australian Voluntary Assisted Dying Review Board as its Presiding Member.
Her broader contributions include board roles with Mental Health Australia and RANZCP, and executive leadership across digital health, advisory, and clinical settings.

Greg Granger

HG is delighted to announce the appointment of Greg Granger as General Manager, Rural Generalism and Primary Health Care at the Royal Flying Doctor Service South Eastern Section.
Greg brings more than 20 years of senior healthcare leadership experience spanning primary care, specialist health services, pathology, diagnostics, telehealth, and complex service operations. He has an outstanding track record leading multidisciplinary clinical teams, driving organisational transformation, strengthening clinical governance, and delivering sustainable financial growth across both public and private healthcare settings.
Most recently, Greg has served as General Manager of Clinic 66, one of Australia’s largest reproductive and sexual health providers, where he has led significant organisational renewal, expanded national telehealth services, strengthened quality and accreditation frameworks, and delivered substantial revenue growth. Prior to this, he was Director of Strategic Operations at Histopath Diagnostic Specialists, where he led large-scale COVID-19 response initiatives across New South Wales in partnership with government agencies and health services. Earlier executive roles include Chief of Operations at SydPath, St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney, where he held operational and financial accountability for a large multi-site pathology service employing more than 350 staff.

Emma Joyce

HG is delighted to announce the appointment of Emma Joyce as Director of Nursing, Mental Health & Addictions at MidCentral Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora.
Emma is a highly respected mental health nursing leader, she brings extensive leadership experience across New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom. Her career has encompassed senior clinical, operational and strategic roles across acute inpatient, community and specialist mental health services, with expertise in clinical governance, workforce development, service transformation and quality improvement.
Most recently, Emma served as Nurse Unit Manager with Queensland Health at Townsville University Hospital. Her previous leadership roles with Bay of Plenty District Health Board included leading service redesign initiatives, regional mental health planning and culturally responsive models of care in partnership with Māori Health Services and iwi.
Emma’s strong commitment to high-quality, person-centred mental health care, combined with her international experience and advanced nursing leadership qualifications, positions her well to lead nursing practice and support the ongoing development of mental health and addiction services across the region.
