THE OPPORTUNITY
Monash Health is Victoria’s largest and most comprehensive health service, providing safe, high‑quality care across more than 40 locations to a rapidly growing and diverse population. The Specialist Consulting program delivers over half a million consultations annually, spanning the full range of clinical specialties across all Monash Health sites. This includes face‑to‑face and virtual telehealth services, with telehealth expected to remain a substantial component of care delivery. Supporting community‑based referrals, inpatient transitions, and alternative pathways to hospital admission, Specialist Consulting plays a critical role in Monash Health’s integrated service model. This role presents a unique opportunity to lead a program undergoing significant transformation, redesign, and growth, ensuring that services are future‑focused and responsive to community needs. Recruitment for this role forms part of a recent broader organisational restructure at Monash Health, incorporating a more contemporary and future-fit leadership structure across all Divisions. This is a career-defining opportunity for an accomplished leader to make a significant impact within a complex and progressive health organisation.

The role is accountable for delivering safe, high‑quality, patient‑centred care, achieving financial and operational targets, and driving service reform. It will foster collaboration between medical specialties, nursing, administrative teams, and other service partners to enhance patient access, streamline pathways, and support innovation in models of care.
