THE OPPORTUNITY

Within its Medicine, Aged, Community and Mental Health Division, the Operations Director / Director of Nursing – Kingston and Aged Care Services is a pivotal leadership role, accountable for delivering exceptional care and advancing service models across subacute rehabilitation, residential aged care, and community-based programs. THE ROLE
Reporting operationally to the Divisional Director and professionally to the Chief Nursing and Midwifery Officer, the Operations Director / Director of Nursing provides strategic and operational leadership for the Kingston Site Program and Aged Care Services. The role carries responsibility for ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and person‑centred care across a diverse portfolio, including rehabilitation, residential facilities, home care, and transitional care programs. In addition, the position is accountable for workforce leadership, financial performance, compliance with the Aged Care Quality and Safety Standards, National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) requirements, and maintaining a culture of continuous improvement.
THE CANDIDATE
You are an experienced senior nursing leader with a proven record of success in managing complex, multi‑disciplinary teams and driving service transformation. With current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, you bring strong operational, financial, and governance capability, coupled with a commitment to cultural and clinical excellence. You hold or are working towards postgraduate qualifications in management, health administration, or leadership and meet the requirements for Key Personnel status under the Aged Care and NDIS commissions.
