THE OPPORTUNITY
PCRN Ltd was established in 2021 after the consolidation of Lakeland Clinical Trials Group and Southern Clinical Trials Group and began with collaboration and a shared vision of healthcare excellence. This partnership brought together a diverse group of doctors and medical professionals with experience running clinical trials since 2002. As New Zealand’s leading private clinical research company, PCRN offers a streamlined, integrated nationwide partner network of nine private clinical research trial sites across New Zealand and is made up of a diverse team of experienced medical professionals dedicated to improving the health and well-being of our population. As the organisation continues to grow, we are seeking a clinical leader to lead our world class late phase medical team and to help steer our strategic direction as a member of our innovative senior leadership team.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer the Clinical Director is a new role which will lead and oversee the medical team and work closely with the Chief Operations Officer and other senior leaders to deliver clinical trials within PCRN. The Clinical Director is responsible for strategic planning, execution, and medical management of clinical research studies, ensuring they are compliant with the protocol, the International Council for Harmonisation – Good Clinical Practice (ICH-GCP) and local regulations. The Clinical Director is the technical or division lead of the medical team and may also be assigned as Principal Investigator (PI) on specific studies.
THE CANDIDATE
We are seeking a seasoned senior medical leader who has:
- proven experience working as a Clinical Trial Investigator;
- commercial acumen whilst also demonstrating an unwavering commitment to safety and quality;
- the ability to be part of and a lead a high-performing, geographically distributed team in a fast-paced, high-growth environment; and
- experience working with Sponsors, Contract Research Organisations (CRO) and regulators.
