- Boutique not for profit aged-care residential and support at home services
- Values based organisation where compassion, empathy, flexibility and responsiveness are important.
- Remunerated board roles
THE OPPORTUNITY
Rembrandt Living is a boutique not-for-profit organisation that has been providing Residential and Support at Home Services for over 30 years. We work in partnership with our Residents and Clients to improve their health, lifestyle and well-being and we strive to do this well.
At the heart of the Rembrandt difference is the Dutch word “Gezellig”, a feeling that home is a warm, welcoming place where people are friendly, respectful, and almost like family. It currently operates a single property residential aged care facility with approximately 90 beds and a support at home care business serving around 1,150 clients, with this number steadily increasing.
THE ROLE
We have a dynamic skills-based Board of Directors who are committed to applying best practice corporate and clinical governance in a transparent and accountable manner. The current board consists of individuals with skills including aged care, business administration, finance, clinical governance and strategic planning. The Board meets ten times a year in the late afternoon. We have several Board committees and Directors are strongly encouraged to be a member of at least one committee.
THE CANDIDATE
Rembrandt Living is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified people who have a passion for aged care and wish to join a team that delivers high quality care and aged care services. We are seeking three Non-Executive Directors with qualifications, skills and experience in:
- Aged care, clinical care, home care and allied health
- IT systems, technology including implementation and integration
- Risk, assurance and governance
ideally complemented by a background in finance and accounting or home care/aged care.
Candidates with prior board experience and those who are graduates of the AICD Company Directors Course will be highly regarded.
Preferred candidates will demonstrate a desire to engage with our vision and guiding principles.
