THE OPPORTUNITY
The Health System in Aotearoa is transforming as we implement the Pae Ora/Healthy Futures vision of a reformed system where people live longer in good health, have improved quality of life, and there is equity between all groups
Reporting to the H&SS Regional Director, Te Waipounamu this position is responsible for delivering equitable, safe, and effective hospital and specialist delivery ensuring a high delivery performing system, across the Waitaha Canterbury/ Te Tai o Poutini West Coast Districts. They will support the delivery of the Hospital and Specialist Services (H&SS) local, regional, and national priorities by working with clinical leadership to lead change programmes and manage resource allocation in their area.
THE ROLE
This role will provide leadership that builds high performing hospital and specialist service delivery systems that deliver on the expectations of Health New Zealand |Te Whatu Ora, the New Zealand Health Plan (Te Pae Tata) and the Pae Ora legislation.
They will ensure the delivery of health services aligned to the service delivery objectives of Hospital & Specialist services, ensuring their region achieves the strategic objectives of Health New Zealand |Te Whatu Ora.
