A Journey of Strength, Legacy, and Community

30 Sep 2025

This month we are proud to celebrate the extraordinary journey of Justine Thorpe, a long standing member of HG’s Executive Learning Set community, who is currently  walking 800km across Spain on the El Camino de Santiago in honour of her late partner.

Justine has been a valued member of her Set for many years, and her story is one of strength, resilience, and deep connection. Supported by her fellow Set members and the wider HG community, we were humbled to contribute to her walk not only with a donation but also by sending her our heartfelt best wishes as she undertook this meaningful pilgrimage.

She dialed into her Set meeting virtually from Spain, sharing her experience in real time with the peers she considers not only professional colleagues but also a close-knit circle of friends and supporters.

Set Facilitator Sarah Buckler reflected on Justine’s journey:

“Justine has been an amazing set member for a number of years. The tragic circumstances surrounding her partner’s death have seen Justine demonstrate incredible strength and leadership through an impossible time. Set 27 and HG are proud to contribute in some small way to the pathway she has taken and are in awe of her resilience and commitment to creating a legacy on behalf of her dearly loved partner.

Justine’s story is a powerful reminder of the strength that comes from showing up with authenticity and heart , not just as leaders, but as people. At HG, we’re honoured to witness how the connections formed in our Executive Learning Sets often grow into something deeper: a circle of trust and friendship that quietly supports members through both professional and personal chapters of life.
