As the District Director of Nursing Pilbara – Inland you will have the opportunity to significantly contribute to the health of the local community in a way that is immeasurably rewarding. You will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership, development and management of clinical and non-clinical services in the Inland Pilbara (district) in partnership with the health services staff and other government and non-government healthcare providers in the region.
This exciting opportunity, based in Newman, provides comprehensive clinical and administrative support and direction for the Pilbara Regions Health Service. You will be focussing on the provision of health services in a clinically safe, efficient and effective manner in addition to the management of the workforce and working with other leaders in regard to clinical governance.
This role as District Director of Nursing is one of professional leadership including operational management of the nursing workforce and in particular with consideration of the health needs of the local aboriginal community.
As a significant leadership role, the Western Australian Country Health Service is after an applicant who is an up-and-coming nursing leader with a track record in supporting improved healthcare and leading transformational change in a community environment. A nursing leader is required who will promote a values-based, culturally safe and person-centred healthcare service while driving practical and innovative solutions.
You will be an enabler of excellence in the provision of healthcare services through fostering cohesive and contemporary services to the region’s population.
