Metro North is seeking a highly experienced nursing leader for the Director of Nursing and Midwifery position based in the Caboolture, Kilcoy, and Woodford (CKW) Directorate, north of Brisbane.

The Directorate consists of Caboolture Hospital, Kilcoy Hospital, Woodford Correctional Health Service and Caboolture Satellite Hospital Minor Injury and Illness Clinic and Bribie Island Satellite Hospital Minor Injury and Illness Clinic. It provides acute, sub-acute and primary healthcare to coastal areas such as of Bribie Island, Toorbul and Beachmere, rural areas such as Kilcoy, Woodford and Dayboro and urban areas of Caboolture, Morayfield, Burpengary and Narangba.

The role provides strategic and operational leadership and management for the nursing and midwifery profession within the Directorate and works collaboratively with executive and clinical leadership team members, across Metro North Health.

This position promotes and nurtures a culture of excellence in nursing and midwifery standards, practice, quality improvement, policy reform, ongoing education, learning, workforce planning and research. This position works collaboratively as a member of an inter-professional CKW executive team, reporting to the ED CKW Directorate, and working to develop innovative ways to deliver efficient, high quality patient-centred care and achieve key performance outcomes.

The position will also work collaboratively with the Chief Nursing and Midwifery Officer (CNMO) Metro North Health and other executive leadership team members to fulfil the accountabilities in accordance with Metro North Health and the Nursing and Midwifery vision, values, and strategic direction and engages with other internal and external partners to build relationships.
