Here’s your chance to make a significant contribution to Metro North Hospital and Health Service as the Director Medical Services (DMS) for Caboolture Hospital, Kilcoy Hospital and Woodford Corrections Health (CKW) clinical directorate.

This exciting opportunity provides comprehensive medical administrative support and direction for CKW, focussing on the provision of medical services in a clinically safe, efficient and effective manner in addition to the management of the medical workforce and hospital clinical governance.

This role is one of professional leadership of the medical workforce, including operational management of the medical education, medical workforce, pharmacy, medical imaging and health information service teams.  It is also responsible for contributing and working collaboratively as a member of the CKW Executive and Metro North Health (MNH).

This role provides direct advice to the CKW Executive Director in accordance with MNH’s vision, purpose, values and objectives, as outlined in strategic and operational plans. As a significant leadership role, Metro North Health is seeking a candidate that is:

  • A leader that will promote a values-based, culturally safe and person-centred healthcare service while driving practical, strategic and innovative business models and solutions
  • An enabler of excellence in the provision of healthcare services through fostering cohesive and contemporary services at Caboolture Hospital, Kilcoy Hospital, Woodford Corrections Health, communities within Metro North Health and a range of health support services to Norfolk Island

Caboolture Hospital, Kilcoy Hospital and Woodford Corrections Health provides medical services to an ever-increasing population. This role is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to make a significant impact in an area north of Brisbane that is experiencing growth in demand for clinical services from the community. A new clinical services building, hospital refurbishment and two new satellite hospitals are all due to open in 2023/24. Recently re-accredited with a medical workforce expanding to more than 200 in 2023, the candidate must display passion for community health, medical governance and driving a growth agenda.
