Enable New Zealand Ltd is looking to appoint its new Chief Operations Officer.

Enable New Zealand’s vision is to enable people and their whanau to live their best lives in a non-disabling society. They do this by effectively managing environmental support and rehabilitation services to over 120,000 disabled people and their whānau each year. Services are delivered on behalf of the Ministry of Social Development and the Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC).

Reporting to the Chief Executive, the Chief Operations Officer is a permanent full-time role based in Palmerston North. The role is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, its primary purpose is oversee the day-to-day operations of the organisation to drive operational excellence. The COO will lead process optimisation and improvements across all business and people operation functions, managing people functions and resources to ensure the safe, efficient and effective execution of operational activities aligned to the strategic direction. The COO plays a crucial role in executing the company’s operations strategy, maintaining high-quality standards, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation across all people functions.

Critical to success will be at least 5 years’ experience working in a similar leadership role at a senior level within a complex organisation. This will include bringing strong critical-thinking skills and a thorough understanding of employment and health and safety legislation that will enable you to oversee the strategic and operational demands of the role.
