Chief Financial Officer, Airedale Property Trust (H23_4341)

Airedale Property Trust (APT) is a property trust and a provider of professional services. APT is affiliated with the Methodist Church of New Zealand. APT owns a property investment portfolio and also manages property on behalf of external clients. The property portfolio includes social housing, a retirement village, retail, commercial and residential portfolio and several significant developments.

APT is a registered charitable trust and supports its two sister trusts, Methodist Mission Northern (MMN) and Lifewise Trust (The Trusts) by way of a grant and the provision of professional services.

The professional services provided by APT include finance, procurement, payroll, human resources and IT. Professional services are also provided to other external organisations.

Reporting to the Chief Executive of APT, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) manages the team responsible for the finance, payroll and procurement functions of APT and the provision of these services by way of a service agreement to its sister trusts and external organisations. The CFO will also be responsible for reporting on the financial activities and providing financial advice as required. They will also be required to work closely with the Chief Executives of Lifewise and MMN (and their respective Boards) in providing financial services to these organisations.

This role will lead a finance team that is working across a variety of sectors including property, social services and healthcare services. The CFO will ensure that the finance department and The Trusts meet their obligations in sound fiscal management and reporting, through the instigation and adherence of internal controls and policies.
