NSW Health Pathology was formed in 2012 and is the largest public pathology and forensic & analytical science service in Australia. Employing more then 5,000 staff across the State they undertake more then 100,000+ clinical and scientific investigations each day at 60 laboratories and 150+ collection centres. and as such are an indispensable part of the NSW public health system.

The NSW Health Pathology Board in partnership with the Secretary for Health now seek to appoint an exceptional new Chief Executive to lead this essential and highly regarded organisation.
The Chief Executive is responsible for the strategic leadership and management of NSW Health Pathology ensuring the delivery of high quality services, effective clinical governance of those services and effective integration of those services with the broader health system. Additionally they must exercise sound financial and asset management of NSW Health Pathology ensuring it operates within its established budget.
To be considered for this significant Statewide leadership opportunity you will have a:
- Strong record of achievement in management at executive level in a complex and geographically dispersed organisation delivering health or other complex human services and demonstrated sound under- standing of corporate governance principles and government accountability processes, and compliance with legislation/regulation governing pathology services.
- Proven track record of effective operational management covering planning, human resources, budget, assets, operational planning, quality improvement and risk management.
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent relevant experience with a commitment and capacity to implement, and provide leadership in Government policies and practices, including EEO, OH&S, cultural diversity, ethical practice and continuous improvement.
