Xavier has a long and proud history of providing services for children with disabilities in Brisbane for over 70 years. Xavier’s mission is to enable families of children with high support needs to maintain and appropriate quality of life in a family friendly environment.

Xavier Place provides short term respite accommodation and care, including end of life care for children and young people with complex support needs arising from a combination of physical, sensory, and intellectual disabilities. Located in the heart of Yeerongpilly, Xavier Place is newly renovated purposed built state-of-the art six bed facility, serviced by dedicated nursing professionals and support workers.

The Board and Chief Executive are now seeking a highly relational General Manager (GM) Clinical Services. The GM Clinical Services will be responsible for both the operational and strategic leadership of the service including daily operations, workforce management, clinical care and governance, and oversight of Xavier’s $3 million dollar budget.

In this role you will be encouraged to build upon the excellent reputation of Xavier, developing models of care and services that meet the holistic needs of clients and families. Together with the Chief Executive you will be tasked with identifying and executing strategies that will lead to the expansion of services and the diversification of revenue growth, leading to long term sustainability for the service.

The ideal candidate will have senior leadership experience in the health and human services sectors with a track record of leading transformational change.  Candidates with experience in system leadership who can demonstrate success in fostering excellent stakeholder relationships across the sector, and with state and federal government entities will be highly regarded.

Your daily actions will align with Xavier’s values, you will manage the service with integrity supporting the staff make a real difference in the lives of children and families they support. Tertiary qualification in Health Science, nursing or equivalent is essential.
