Since 1989, Community Living Trust has supported people with disabilities to live the life of their choice, thriving as part of the community. They envision a society where people with disabilities live fulfilling lives and are given full citi-zenship rights. They work towards this with passion, innovation, collaboration and in an ethical and responsive way.
Community Living Trust strive to be leaders in their sector, and they work with communities to help them become more inclusive and collaborative. They work in partnership with the people they support, their whanau/families and the broader community to facilitate each person having a voice and living a lifestyle of their choice.
The Chief Executive will lead Community Living Trust and Community Living Limited to meet the objectives of the Board of Trustees. The Chief Executive Officer is invested with broad responsibilities and authority for the overall sustainability and profitability of the organisation.
The successful candidate will likely have proven success leading organisational strategy and operations at a senior executive level, and mostly likely at a whole of organisation or division level. They will have a track record of growing and leading high performing individuals and teams and foster a high-performance culture consistent with the organisational values. They will also have the commercial and financial acumen commensurate with the seniority of the role.
The Chief Executive will need to adhere to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and have a genuine passion to see all people achieve their best life. They will also need to demonstrate a strong commitment for honouring and partnering with Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
